There are four
distinct brainstem monitoring markets for the TMU
system. These are (1) Comatose Monitoring and Brainstem
Death Diagnosis, (2) Brain Monitoring during General
Anesthesia, (3) Neuro-Disease Management, and (4)
Monitoring Sleep Patterns.
EyeTect, LLC will
focus on conducting clinical trials to prove the
economic and clinical outcomes within the first of the
above markets: Comatose Monitoring and Brainstem Death
Diagnosis. Click on the links to the left to

Market Need for OMT in
Coma and Brainstem Death
Clinical
monitoring of the neuro-disabled patient during
hospitalization has not significantly changed in 15
years. While technology advances have been developed
across the hospital and particularly for the cardiac
disabled patient where routine continuous monitoring is
readily available utilizing the electrocardiograph
(EKG), no such routine ability yet exists in the Neuro
Intensive Care Unit (the “NICU”).
OMT can bring to the
NICU what the EKG provides to the Cardiac Unit: a
direct, continuous measure of the electrical activity of
the organ of most interest to the clinician – the
brainstem.
